Case Studies

Brylea Caravan Park, Preston

Brylea Caravan Park is located in a rural area in the north of Preston, requiring a sensitive approach to achieve a successful landscape scheme that would offer some privacy to the caravan occupants but also ensure the rural feel of the area was maintained. A recreational area, a bund for screening and some decorative planting were included to create a pleasant environment that fitted nicely into the landscape. Tree, wildflower, bulb and shrub planting allowed for seasonal interest as well as great ecological benefits for the local wildlife. Despite the proximity of the caravan park to the motorway network and Preston city centre the site has a great tranquil and peaceful ambience

Walled Kitchen Garden, Worden Park, Leyland

Hand drawn design for a community garden as part of South Ribble Borough Councils Heritage Lottery fund application. The design requirements were for an educational garden that could be accessed by people with disabilities as well as being a visitor attraction. The Walled Garden dates back to the 1770s and contains several historic buildings and is unique in its shape (this was to gain the maximum sunlight onto the climbers along the walls).
